Kendry Páez Transfer from Chelsea to Southampton
Chelsea are exploring the possibility of recalling Kendry Páez from his loan at Strasbourg, where the 18-year-old Ecuadorian attacker has had limited playing time, and arranging a second loan move, likely within England. A winter recall is being considered for the attacker, who has 23 caps and two goals for his country, and a decision on a new loan for his development is expected to be made in the next 12 days. If Chelsea's priority is to maximize his playing time, a move to the Championship with Southampton is considered a significant option. According to analysis from SciSports’ Career Advice, Southampton has a Club Fit score of 72, earns four stars for playing time, and is a suitable match for style and formation. This season in Ligue 1, Páez has made 15 appearances and scored one goal. Several other English clubs, including Fulham, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Wolverhampton Wanderers, have also reportedly been interested in the player. Páez's initial transfer to Chelsea from Independiente del Valle in July 2025 was for a fee reported to be between €10 million and €20 million. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €10 million.
