The English club has set the price for a transfer at 80 million euros, applicable only in the summer of 2025. Newcastle coach Matthias Jaissle has stated that Nick Woltemade chose a loan move to Juventus during the summer to get playing time. Jaissle said he had a very open exchange with Woltemade, whom he considers a great footballer with many different qualities, and that the player decided on the loan to get the playing time he was hoping for. The coach also explained that Woltemade was not satisfied with his role as a challenger at Newcastle. According to Jaissle, at that time one or two others were slightly ahead of Woltemade in the team, which was due to Newcastle's style of play with high pressing. No purchase option was agreed upon between the clubs, and Woltemade remains a Newcastle United player as he is only on loan.

Sources have confirmed that Nick Woltemade’s season-long loan to Juventus is set to continue. The deal contains no termination clause and Juventus were not covering Woltemade’s full wages, meaning the club cannot decide to end the arrangement and send him back to Newcastle in January. The only way Woltemade could return to Newcastle during the winter window would be if Newcastle agreed to cancel the loan. Sources have confirmed that this is highly unlikely at this point and that there are no plans within the Newcastle hierarchy for Woltemade to return this season. Because he has already represented Newcastle and featured for Juventus this season, Woltemade is unable to join another club until next summer.
