Mbuku is hoping to gain stability in Belgium and convince the club to exercise the purchase option.

FC Augsburg has loaned the 24-year-old offensive player Nathanaël Mbuku to VV St. Truiden in Belgium. Prior to the move, Mbuku extended his contract with Augsburg until 2028. The Belgian first division club has a purchase option of €2.5 million, and Augsburg also secured a resale participation. The loan is for the duration of the season, and its purpose is for Mbuku to gain important match practice at a European level.
