According to TYC, Independiente is interested in Milton Giménez following the departure of Gabriel Ávalos. Independiente inquired about the terms for the 30-year-old Argentine-Paraguayan center forward, who is a reserve player at Boca. Boca's management responded with a proposal for a direct swap for Santiago Montiel. Independiente did not reply to the offer because they were unwilling to part with another of their key figures. Giménez joined Boca in July 2024 and his contract runs until the end of 2027. In the current 2025/2026 season, he has scored 4 goals in 8 domestic league appearances. Transfermarkt lists his current market value as €2.50m, and he has also been linked with Olimpia.
