Maxence Lacroix Transfer from Crystal Palace to Tottenham Hotspur

According to a report from the Hard Tackle, Tottenham are looking to add more quality and depth to their defensive unit, with Maxence Lacroix on their radar for the new year. The 25-year-old central defender has made a big impression since joining Palace from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2024 for a fee in the region of £18million. The report states that any move for Lacroix in the new year is likely to be met by a firm response from Palace, as the club continues to build on the solid foundation under Oliver Glasner.

Tottenham Hotspur have expressed interest in Lacroix, who transferred to Crystal Palace last summer from Wolfsburg. His successful adaptation to the Premier League and Palace's FA Cup victory have drawn attention from Spurs. A potential transfer would see him reunited with his former Wolfsburg teammate Micky van de Ven. Lacroix, under contract with Palace until 2029, is also attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund and several Serie A clubs. However, Spurs remain eager to strengthen their defensive lineup, particularly amid uncertainty regarding Romero's future. Lacroix's prior experience in the Champions League with Wolfsburg is an added attraction for Tottenham, who are set to compete in the tournament this season following their Europa League triumph.
