Udinese is again considering Heerenveen's Dutch defender Mass Willemsen, who was born in 2003, ahead of the January transfer window. The Italian club had previously pursued Willemsen in the summer, at which time he was also of interest to PSV, Ajax, and Twente. Following a strong campaign last season, he has made 11 Eredivisie appearances in the current season. As technical area director Gianluca Nani seeks to reinforce the squad, Udinese will assess whether to make an attempt for the defender in the winter. Willemsen joined Heerenveen in July 2025, and his contract runs until June 2029. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €4.50M.
