Preston are reportedly interested in Plymouth striker Lorent Tolaj. Plymouth manager Tom Cleverley said Tolaj would cost a lot of money for any sides interested in him this summer. Cleverley told BBC Radio Devon that neither his phone nor director of football Derek Adams' phone has received any calls regarding Tolaj but he imagines agents are working in the background. Cleverley also stated that Tolaj has not expressed anything about wanting to leave the football club and that he loves playing for Argyle. Tolaj, who has been capped by Switzerland at U19 level, moved to Plymouth from Port Vale in August 2025 for a fee reported to be £1.2 million. Norwich City, Stoke, and Swansea are also among the clubs interested in the player. Belgian publication Voetbal Primeur linked Anderlecht to the striker earlier in the month. His contract with Plymouth runs until June 2029, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €500k.
