According to TEAMtalk, the player's representatives have held discussions with more than six Premier League clubs in the past six weeks to generate interest for a potential summer transfer. The clubs contacted include Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle United. It was reported that Arsenal enquired with Bayern about his availability on deadline day. Additionally, a minimum of two clubs from the Saudi Pro League have shown interest. Goretzka joined Bayern in July 2018 and has a contract that runs until June 2026. He has earned 67 caps and scored 15 goals for Germany. In the current Bundesliga season, he has made 18 appearances and scored one goal. Transfermarkt lists his market value as €15.00m. Recent reports regarding his transfer value have differed. Bayern Munich's asking price for a January transfer was reportedly approximately €20 million. It was also said that offers from Atlético Madrid for an immediate transfer were in the range of €2-5 million.
