1h ago

TEAMtalk reported that Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich were among several clubs that approached the representatives of 19-year-old Spanish full-back Xavi Espart before his new contract with Barcelona was finalized. The player has since extended his contract with the club until June 30, 2030. Sources close to the situation indicated that Barcelona considers Espart to be effectively untouchable, would reject offers, and that his release clause is set well above €100 million. Other sources have stated that Barcelona will not allow him to leave this January or in the summer. Manchester United were previously linked with a move, but sources have dismissed those suggestions. It is also said that both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have recently compiled detailed reports on the full-back. Espart has two caps for Spain's U21 team. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €25.00m.
