A number of top-flight sides have been monitoring his progress in recent months, and scouts have reportedly been attending Union Saint-Gilloise matches regularly. Brighton have conducted checks on the Argentine and have long-standing knowledge of the Mac Allister family. He is under contract with the Belgian club until 2027, with an option for an additional year, and the level of attention from England could test the resolve of Union Saint-Gilloise to retain him. Mac Allister has one cap for Argentina and joined Union Saint-Gilloise from Argentinos Juniors in July 2023 for a fee that was reported to be €1.5 million.
