Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United are among a group of Premier League clubs observing Atletico Nacional midfielder Juan Manuel Rengifo. Other English top-flight clubs, such as Bournemouth, Brentford, and Crystal Palace, are also observing the 21-year-old's progress as part of their recruitment in South America. According to sources, scouts from both Brighton and Newcastle have been impressed by Rengifo's performances this season, during which he has made 18 appearances, scoring six goals and providing five assists. The midfielder recently made his senior debut for Colombia, during which he provided an assist, which has strengthened the belief among scouts that he is prepared for European football. It is understood that Rengifo is considered capable of moving to a club abroad within the next 12 months, prompting interested clubs to act before competition for him increases. Rengifo joined Atlético Nacional in July 2025 and has a contract that runs until the end of 2028. His current market value is €5.00m, according to Transfermarkt. This season, he has also scored one goal and provided two assists in 14 appearances in other domestic competitions.
