Kaio Jorge Transfer from Cruzeiro to West Ham United

According to Globo.com, Kaio Jorge has received proposals from West Ham, of England.

According to Podcast TeamTalk, as reported by Sky, West Ham United has contacted Cruzeiro regarding a potential transfer of Kaio Jorge in the January transfer window. The same source stated that Cruzeiro's initial valuation was 100 million pounds (115 million euros). This figure was understood in London as not being entirely serious. West Ham does not currently plan to proceed with negotiations under those terms. Other sources have mentioned that a figure around 30 million euros would be more realistic. Kaio Jorge remains one of the options if Cruzeiro's position changes to be nearer that amount.

Cruzeiro does not want to lose Kaio Jorge, but might consider a deal for approximately 40 million euros. West Ham is preparing a new approach for Kaio Jorge and talks are expected to continue in the coming days.

Cruzeiro rejected the first formal offer of this transfer window for Kaio Jorge, the top scorer of the Brazilian Championship. West Ham attempted to sign him on loan, with an obligation to buy based on certain targets. Contacts were initially made with the player's representatives and then passed on to Cruzeiro. The offer was a compensation of 4 million euros for the loan until June 2026, with an obligation to purchase for 21 million euros. Cruzeiro promptly rejected the Premier League club's approach. The club has no intention of negotiating for Kaio Jorge in this window, and particularly not on a loan basis. According to ge, the forward would not leave for West Ham for 25 million euros, even if it were a permanent move. Espn initially reported the information about West Ham's proposal.

According to ESPN, West Ham is willing to pay 25 million euros for Kaio Jorge. The English club's initial offer is a six-month loan until June 2026 with a 4 million euro fee, followed by a mandatory purchase for an additional 21 million euros that is conditional on the forward meeting certain objectives.

Cruzeiro's 23-year-old Brazilian striker Kaio Jorge has recently attracted the interest of West Ham, a Premier League club. He was observed in person by a scout from the English side during Cruzeiro's 1-0 victory over Grêmio in Porto Alegre. This interest comes as Zenit also recently made an approach for the player, reportedly willing to pay €30 million, but Jorge has no intention of moving to Russia. The player has communicated to those around him that he will only leave Cruzeiro for a top European club. Jorge, who joined Cruzeiro in July 2024, has a contract until the end of 2028 and has earned one cap for the Brazilian national team. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €17.00m.
