Jozhua Vertrouwd, a 20-year-old Dutch left-back, has committed to a five-year contract with Rayo Vallecano, following an impressive season at Castellon in La Liga 2. It is reported that Rayo Vallecano, known as the third club of Madrid, is paying a transfer fee of approximately 1.5 million euros plus bonuses for Vertrouwd. Originally hailing from Amsterdam, Vertrouwd developed his skills in the youth teams of AZ and FC Volendam and appeared in 21 matches for Jong FC Utrecht in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie before securing a free transfer to Castellon two years prior. Under the guidance of Dick Schreuder, who is now the trainer at NEC, Vertrouwd featured in 33 matches in La Liga 2 last season, netting one goal and providing two assists.
