José Sá Transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers to West Ham United

West Ham United manager Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly interested in signing a new goalkeeper this January and is targeting Wolves player Jose Sa. Football Insider reports that Nuno is considering signing Sa from Wolves and suggests there may now be doubt about Sa's future. Sa has generally been the first-choice goalkeeper for Wolves, but recently faces increasing competition from Sam Johnstone, which could mean the club might be willing to negotiate a transfer this January. West Ham may look to take advantage of the situation. Sa may want to continue playing regularly and might believe he would have a better opportunity to do so by moving to the London Stadium. The 32-year-old is considered an outsider for Portugal’s 2026 World Cup squad. Sá joined Wolves in July 2021, has a contract with the club until June 2027, and has made 4 Premier League appearances this season. The goalkeeper has 3 caps for Portugal and, according to Transfermarkt, has a current market value of €7.00m.
