John Souttar Transfer from Rangers to Trabzonspor
Trabzonspor are seriously interested in signing John Souttar this summer. Record Sport understands the Turkish outfit are preparing to weigh in with a £850,000 bid and a serious upgrade on his current Gers contract, which expires in 12 months’ time. However, Fotomac reports that the Turkish side are in no rush to seal a deal. The club sees a deal as difficult with the Premiership side keen to keep the Scotland international and a transfer is not a priority at this stage of the window.
The Daily Record reports that Trabzonspor is interested in acquiring Rangers centre back John Souttar. Trabzonspor have shown interest in Rangers centre back John Souttar and have reportedly made a lowball offer. The 28-year-old has faced injuries, limiting his appearances. With a year left on his contract and talks stalling, Trabzonspor reportedly bid €1.5million (£1.2million) for Souttar. If Rangers fail to secure a new deal, Souttar can negotiate pre-contract agreements with other clubs starting January.
John Souttar has emerged as a potential transfer target for the Turkish club Trabzonspor, according to reports. With only 12 months remaining on his contract with Rangers, also known as Gers, Souttar might leave next summer if a new agreement is not reached. Trabzonspor, aiming to enhance its defensive lineup, considers the 28-year-old Scotland international an ideal candidate. If the transfer materializes, Souttar would have the opportunity to reunite with his former Rangers teammates John Lundstram and Borna Barisic, who are currently part of Trabzonspor. However, it is suggested that Trabzonspor is eager to offload both players this summer. The pair made their way to Turkey a year ago after leaving Ibrox on a free transfer. Despite the possibility of their departure, Trabzonspor manager Fatih Tekke is reportedly eager to include Souttar in his squad to bolster their defense.
