Kieran Wright, a 27-year-old Scottish goalkeeper, has joined Airdrieonians on a seven-day emergency loan from Heart of Midlothian, two months after signing for the Gorgie club. A former Rangers academy player, Wright had been released by Rangers in the summer before joining Hearts on a short-term deal in August following an injury to Zander Clark. Airdrieonians pursued the loan for Wright as they are also dealing with injury problems. A statement from Airdrieonians announced the emergency signing. The statement mentioned that Wright had a previous loan spell at the club in the 2024/25 season and would be available for their match against Cove Rangers. The club also noted in the statement that they thanked Hearts for their assistance with the deal. Wright's contract expires on January 1, 2027, and his current market value is €50K, according to Transfermarkt. He has one cap for the Scotland U21 team.
