Bristol City confirmed that Jamie Knight-Lebel, a 21-year-old Canadian international Centre-Back, will be loaned for a third successive season to Scottish Premiership side Motherwell. Knight-Lebel, an academy product who spent the last two years on loan in League Two with Crewe Alexandra and Swindon Town, received a new three-year contract in April after winning Swindon's Young Player of the Season award. The contract secures him to the club until 2029. Following the signing of Lisav Eissat, which increased Bristol City's defensive options, another loan was arranged for Knight-Lebel. Manager Michael Skubala stated that the club feels the player's development is better served by getting regular game time than by being fourth or fifth choice at Ashton Gate. Skubala added that a move to the Scottish Premiership, with the potential for European football, is an excellent next stage for his development, and described him as a talented player the club hopes will play for Bristol City again in the near future. Knight-Lebel, who has been capped three times for Canada, joined Bristol City in July 2023 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €300k.
