It was suggested at the beginning of December that Swansea were the primary club pursuing the well-regarded Barnsley centre-back Jack Shepherd. The 24-year-old English defender's contract expires at the end of the season, and a number of clubs, including the Swans, are understood to be monitoring him this month. Shepherd joined Barnsley in July 2023 and has made 20 appearances in League One this season. His current market value is estimated at €250k by Transfermarkt.
