Igor Júlio, a 28-year-old Brazilian defender, has left Brighton & Hove Albion to join Burnley, a club recently relegated from the Premier League. The move occurred in the final hours of the transfer window. The defender had joined Brighton in July 2023 for a reported €17 million. He signed a three-year contract with Burnley, which announced the permanent move was for an undisclosed fee. The transfer is reportedly worth 3.5 million euros. FC Schalke 04 had been interested in signing the Brazilian for a long time but were unable to complete a deal. Torino had also been linked with a move. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €10.00m.
