Celtic are in discussions for Uruguayan right winger Ignacio Laquintana. The proposed deal for the 26-year-old, who has been playing in Brazil, is a loan with a possible option to buy in the summer. Laquintana is interested in a move to Glasgow, but discussions are still at an early stage. Celtic's pursuit of a wide player became more relevant after a potential transfer for Jocelin Ta Bi did not proceed. Laquintana joined his current club Red Bull Bragantino in April 2023 and is under contract until December 2027; he has two caps and one goal for Uruguay and a current market value of €2.00m.
