Girona has officially confirmed that Hugo Rincon will join them on loan from Athletic Club for the entire 2025-2026 season. The right-back, born in 2003, is set to join Míchel's squad, bringing his intensity, running ability, and offensive skills to the team. Rincon, who started his youth career at Osasuna before transitioning to Athletic Club's youth setup in 2018, made his senior debut with Baskonia in the 2021-2022 season and later became a regular at Bilbao Athletic, contributing to their promotion to Primera RFEF. In the summer of 2024, he trained with Athletic's first team before gaining professional experience on loan at Mirandés in Segunda División, where he made 44 appearances and scored 3 goals, including participation in 4 playoff matches under the guidance of coach Alessio Lisci.
