The same report suggests that Sheffield United are considered the most likely to sign the 17-year-old striker, and that Swansea City and Derby County are also interested. It is believed that the next stage of Gray's development will likely involve more exposure to Championship football. The report adds that Sheffield United have been tracking him for months. Gray has made five appearances for England at the U17 level, scoring one goal. During the 2025/2026 season, he scored three goals in 20 League One appearances and also scored six goals in seven games in Premier League 2. His current contract with Leeds United runs until 2027 and he has a Transfermarkt market value of €700k.
