According to Sky Sports reporters Mark McAdam and Dharmesh Sheth, Stoke City have agreed a deal in principle with Ipswich Town for Harry Clarke. The total package is expected to be worth £3.5m.

It is expected that former loanee Harry Clarke will re-join Stoke City on a permanent deal. A reported fee of £3.5m would include significant add-ons based on success, according to the Ipswich media. There has been competition to sign him this summer, with reported interest from Bristol City. Stoke acted after their season opener in the Carabao Cup against Oldham on Saturday.

Stoke City, Sheffield United, and Preston North End are among several clubs interested in signing Ipswich Town's 25-year-old English right-back, Harry Clarke. Bristol City had previously been the main club interested in signing the player, having first registered their interest in June. Clarke joined Ipswich in January 2023 and has a contract with the club until 2027. He has been capped twice by England at the U17 level. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €2.50m.
