Haji Wright Transfer from Coventry City to West Ham United

According to The Telegraph, Coventry has rejected an inquiry from West Ham for Haji Wright and has valued the striker at approximately £200 million (1.7 billion Danish kroner). The British newspaper reports that the inquiry from The Hammers was outright rejected by Coventry. It is reported that West Ham had shown interest in buying the 27-year-old striker in the winter transfer window, but it is further stated that the London club has withdrawn their interest for now due to the high price.

It has been reported that West Ham United were given a £200 million valuation for Haji Wright, who is a 27-year-old centre-forward for Coventry City and a United States international. West Ham United, who are described as being in a relegation battle and seeking to enhance their attack in January, made an enquiry for the player. The enquiry was reportedly made to Coventry, who are described as the Championship leaders. It is said that Coventry dismissed the enquiry before providing the high valuation. This season, Wright has scored eight goals in 18 Championship appearances and holds a contract that runs until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, the striker, who has 20 caps for the USA, has a current market value of €12.00m. Leeds United have also been associated with a potential transfer for the player. Ellis Simms, a teammate of Wright, is also mentioned as another option for West Ham. However, it is considered highly unlikely that Coventry City would consider negotiating a transfer for him.
