Wrexham are exploring a potential deal for Ipswich Town's 25-year-old Albanian attacking midfielder, Anis Mehmeti. The player, who was a key figure at Bristol City before his move, joined Ipswich in the winter and signed a contract until the summer of 2029. Following the club's promotion, he was left out of the squad for their opening day victory over Sunderland. Increased competition from new arrivals such as Julio Enciso, Daizen Maeda, Jack Clarke, and Jaden Philogene has made a late-window departure for Mehmeti a possibility. He wants to play in the Premier League. The midfielder, who has five caps for Albania, has also been linked with Derby County and Birmingham City. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €15.00m, and it is reported that Ipswich Town paid Bristol City an initial £3 million for his signature in January 2026.
