Adrien Truffert Transfer from AFC Bournemouth to Manchester United
Manchester United are expected to face significant competition from Liverpool, as well as other leading European clubs, for Bournemouth's Adrien Truffert, with sources indicating the France international will be highly sought after. The left-back position is regarded as a priority for United, and their recruitment staff are understood to view a natural left-sided defender as essential rather than a temporary solution. Truffert is one player that has impressed their scouts following his transition to the Premier League. Sources state that United are not the only club with an interest and that Bournemouth would require a fee of approximately £60m (€71m, $79m) to sell Truffert in January. Bournemouth are under no obligation to sell a first-team regular mid-season, and a mid-season approach would likely be blocked, particularly if the club is still active in the Europa League. Any approach would also be dependent on the club’s willingness to negotiate and on the player’s preference. Sources expect significant competition for his services to occur next summer.

TeamTalk reports that scouts have regularly watched Adrien Truffert and that United's recruitment team considers him a good tactical match, particularly as the side is now using a more conventional back four. Citing sources, the publication adds that a move to a club of United's size would be difficult for Truffert to disregard. TeamTalk also states that United have been uncharacteristically open about their interest, which the publication suggests is an indication that they would not publicise their admiration so freely unless they believed the player wanted the move. It is reported that Truffert is prepared to move to Old Trafford and United may have the player’s approval, but there are still further steps to be taken. His Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is €43.7 million, but Bournemouth has strong control over his future and is known for negotiating intensely.
