Deportivo Alavés and Talleres de Córdoba have come to an agreement regarding the transfer of the promising Gustavo Albarracín, extending until 2029, to bolster the Basque club's lineup. The Argentine U-20 international, aged 19, is set to join the Alavés B team while also participating in the first team activities. Albarracín, hailing from Las Varillas, Córdoba, honed his abilities in the youth academies of Santos and América de Villa María before his move to Talleres. In 2023, he secured his first professional contract with the Córdoba club and made his Primera División debut in June 2024, where he scored a goal. Albarracín, noted for his associative play style, game vision, rhythm control, and tactical maturity despite his youth, has also been part of Argentina's youth national teams at the U-17 and U-20 levels. He is set to join the team under the leadership of Molo Casas, the coach of Alavés B, while integrating into the first team environment.
