Chelsea and Arsenal are monitoring Feyenoord's Netherlands and Suriname midfielder Gjivai Zechiël. Both clubs have watched the 22-year-old closely ahead of the January transfer window. Feyenoord are determined not to sell the player for a low price, a stance they demonstrated during the summer when they rejected several approaches from Lille. The French club's final offer was reportedly worth €17 million including bonuses, and Zechiël later confirmed their interest had been serious. Feyenoord's bargaining position has strengthened since then, and there are reports of a €30m valuation. Zechiël joined Feyenoord in September 2023 and is contracted until June 2029. He has yet to make his senior international debut for the Netherlands. His current valuation on Transfermarkt is €10 million.
