Gessime Yassine, a 20-year-old Moroccan international who is considered very highly rated, has been linked with Barcelona. It is reported that the club was monitoring him even before he moved to Strasbourg from French second-tier team Dunkerque in January. Strasbourg paid approximately €7m (£6m) for the winger, signing him to a four-and-a-half-year contract. Due to their partnership, it is also thought that Chelsea is monitoring him. In the 2025/2026 season, he recorded two goals and seven assists in 13 Ligue 2 appearances for his former club, and two assists in 12 Ligue 1 games for Strasbourg. The winger has four caps for Morocco, and according to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €12.00m.
