Botafogo has announced the signing of Gabriel Batista, a 28-year-old Brazilian-Italian goalkeeper from Santa Clara in Portugal. The player's contract is until 2029. Batista was developed at Botafogo's rival club, Flamengo, and had been playing in Portugal since 2022. Before moving to Europe, he had a short loan spell at Sampaio Corrêa. His current market value is €4.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
