CalcioMercato reported on Lyon's unsuccessful attempt to acquire Franco Mastantuono. The French club tried to sign the young talent from River Plate, but the attempt failed. River Plate has set a release clause of 45 million euros for the promising 17-year-old, and Lyon was among 17 clubs interested in him. However, due to fierce competition from top European clubs such as Inter, Juventus, Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and others, the deal did not materialize. Although there is significant interest, Mastantuono reportedly has not shown any preference for a particular club, stating that the best offer will be taken into consideration.
