Femi Azeez Transfer from Millwall to West Ham United
Following the temporary hiring of Ben Chorley, a former Swindon sporting director with extensive EFL knowledge, West Ham United have reportedly increased their focus on players from the Championship. Alex Crook of talkSPORT has reported that West Ham United are interested in Millwall's Nigerian international midfielder, Femi Azeez, who is 25. The same report also indicated West Ham's interest in other players from the division, such as Sorba Thomas of Stoke, Gustavo Hamer of Sheffield United, and Nestory Irankunda of Watford. Azeez joined Millwall in August 2024, is under contract until 2028, and has also been linked with clubs such as Ipswich Town and Brighton & Hove Albion. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €15m. Recent reports from July 2026 state Millwall will not accept less than £15m, which is approximately €18m. In May 2026, the club reportedly rejected a £20m bid, approximately €24m, from Ipswich Town.
