Hearts exercised the purchase option for Elton Kabangu. According to Scottish sources, they are paying approximately 300,000 euros to Union SG to acquire him. Union SG makes a profit as they initially acquired him for free, but he never managed to break through at the club.

Elton Kabangu, a 26-year-old forward, will join Hearts on loan for the rest of the season. Hearts, a club currently placed second last in the Scottish league, faced Cercle Brugge in the Conference League in November but did not progress past the league phase. Union decided to loan him out as he fell down the pecking order and pushed for a move to get more playing time. Hearts has an option to purchase Kabangu, indicating a real possibility that he may not return to Union.

Hearts are in talks to sign Union Saint-Gilloise forward Elton Kabangu on loan in January. The 26-year-old, who can play as a centre-forward or winger, has fallen out of favour at USG.
