Stoke City have agreed to a £3.7 million deal with Braga for Djibril Soumaré, a 23-year-old Senegalese defensive midfielder, who is expected to sign a three-year contract. There was considerable interest in Soumaré from French clubs, with Lille, Toulouse, and Strasbourg all making inquiries. During the 2025/2026 season, Soumaré was on loan at Sheffield United, where he made 25 appearances and provided one assist in the Championship. His current market value is €2.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
