RC Strasbourg is one of several European clubs interested in 17-year-old Hong Kong FC defender William Mirwasser, who is seeking a return to Europe. Everton, Blackburn Rovers, and US Lecce are also interested in the player. After visiting the two English clubs during a recent international break, Mirwasser is scheduled to visit RC Strasbourg and Lecce in November. A source close to the player stated that the idea behind these trips is for him to see the clubs' training centres and discuss his future. The source added that nothing has been decided, as they want to take time to explore all possibilities before he commits to a new club next summer. FIFA regulations will not permit Mirwasser to leave Hong Kong FC until he turns 18 next August, and the clubs interested in him will have to wait until August 28th, 2027, to sign him.
