According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Djed Spence's representatives have offered the Tottenham Hotspur player to Manchester United because the Red Devils' manager, Michael Carrick, is seeking a left-back. Speaking on The United Stand, Jacobs said Spence has also been offered to Liverpool. He also stated he is not yet aware if Manchester United is interested. Jacobs stated that he does not believe Man Utd have said at this point that they want to pursue or negotiate for Spence. He explained that Spence's representatives are offering him to Premier League clubs because he wants to play on a weekly basis. After a positive World Cup, Spence cannot be guaranteed this at Tottenham due to Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie, and is therefore assessing his options, even though Roberto De Zerbi wants to keep him as a squad player.
