Daryl Dike: West Bromwich Albion Contract Extension

2h ago

West Bromwich Albion fan pundit Callum Burgess has discussed 25-year-old United States international Daryl Dike and the possibility of his club offering the striker a new contract in the summer. Callum believes that Dike is considerably more likely to stay at The Hawthorns this summer than one of Albion's other out-of-contract strikers, Josh Maja. Callum stated that a potential arrangement for Dike that might suit the club is an initial one-year deal with an option to extend if he meets a certain number of appearances, adding that this was something the club did with Kyle Bartley in the past when he had injury troubles. Callum also said he does not think Dike will get his current contract with another club, as they might see his injury history and think he is not worth the risk, adding that Dike is approaching more than half a season without having picked up any injuries and is now able to benefit from that. The centre-forward, who has 10 caps and 3 goals for his country, joined West Brom in January 2022 and has a current market value of €1.50m according to Transfermarkt.
