Voetbal International reported on Thursday afternoon that goalkeeper Daniel Bielica is transferring from NAC Breda to Portsmouth. An agreement has been reached on a transfer fee of 600,000 euro. According to VI, Bielica is still negotiating a contract with Pompey, with only a few last details remaining. The same outlet had recently written that the move to Portsmouth had been cancelled.

NAC Breda has approached Portsmouth with an asking price for Daniel Bielica, reopening discussions to revive the deal. This occurred after a period in which Portsmouth submitted multiple offers for the goalkeeper, but NAC Breda did not consider the proposals and refused to name a price, which led to suggestions the transfer had collapsed. Bielica is said to be interested in a transfer to the Championship, which he considers the subsequent stage of his career. The Eredivisie club is believed to value him at more than €800,000. According to Dutch journalist Joost Blaauwhof, Portsmouth do not want to pay that amount for Bielica. The proposed move is currently without progress. John Mousinho’s side is understood to have submitted a final offer of €500,000 before ceasing negotiations. NAC Breda is now prepared to consider offers, which allows for a potential agreement if the two clubs can agree on terms.
