Celtic are planning to sign 26-year-old Portuguese forward Cláudio Braga from their title rivals Hearts in the summer as part of an effort to rebuild their attack. The forward has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season, attracting Celtic's attention at a time when their own striker Daizen Maeda has not been performing at his best. Braga, who has also received praise from former Celtic player Chris Sutton, is considered to be an immediate improvement on Maeda. Braga joined Hearts in July 2025 and his contract is due to expire in May 2028. In the Scottish Premiership this season, he has recorded 12 goals and 5 assists in 29 appearances. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €6.00m.
