West Bromwich Albion have signed defender Brayann Pereira from the Dutch club NEC Nijmegen for an undisclosed fee. The fee is understood to be in the region of £1m. The French player has signed a four-year contract. Pereira is the tenth player to join West Bromwich Albion during the summer transfer window.

According to Dutch magazine Voetbal International, West Brom are set to sign NEC Nijmegen defender Brayann Pereira, with a medical scheduled for transfer deadline day. Pereira is in the final year of his contract and the Dutch side believe selling him represents a sensible transaction. It remains unclear how much the Baggies are paying to bring Pereira to England. If the deal is completed, he could be available to make his West Brom debut against Watford next weekend, with the Wednesday match against Charlton Athletic likely being too soon for the Frenchman.

Brayann Pereira is nearing a move to West Bromwich Albion. According to sources in England, the French defender will undergo his medical examination on Tuesday. De Telegraaf reports that NEC will receive a fee of 1.5 million euros for Pereira.

Brayann Pereira is nearing a transfer to West Bromwich Albion, and the English club aims to complete the deal on Deadline Day. The 23-year-old French-Congolese defender is scheduled for a medical examination on Tuesday. Pereira has been with NEC since the summer of 2023, having first arrived on a year-long loan from Auxerre before signing a permanent contract until mid-2027. After previously blocking a departure for Pereira last summer and during the past winter, NEC is now allowing him to leave because the club has more defensive options, with Tobias Storm now being the first-choice right-back. The defender has 8 caps for France U20, and his current market value is €1.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
