Anthony Patterson Transfer from Sunderland to Bristol City
Bristol City is a potential challenger to Millwall for Sunderland's English goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, whose playing time has been reduced this season following the signing of Robin Roefs, and he has made no appearances in the Premier League so far. Alan Nixon reports that Millwall are interested in the 25-year-old. The Robins could also consider acquiring Patterson if their current keeper, Max O'Leary, departs. Queens Park Rangers, Blackburn Rovers and Derby County are reportedly interested in O'Leary. With Radek Vitek on loan from United, it is not clear if Bristol City would use another loan spot for competition, but Patterson could be an option for them to have two goalkeepers. Patterson has one cap for the England U21 team. He joined Sunderland in July 2021 and is under contract until June 2028. His current Transfermarkt market value is €10.00m, and in September 2024, it was reported that Sunderland valued the player at approximately €23.5 million.
