In the final hours of the winter transfer market, Valencia CF turned down a 10 million euro bid from Porto for André Almeida. Porto, aiming to bolster their midfield following the sale of Nico González to Manchester City for 60 million euros, submitted a formal proposal. Nevertheless, Valencia chose to retain Almeida, as he is considered a crucial player by Carlos Corberán. Even though Porto increased their initial offer, Valencia decided against selling him before the season's end. Previously, Almeida had expressed a desire to leave during the summer, but he altered his decision after becoming more prominent under Corberán's management.
