Villarreal were among several sides credited with interest in Eduardo Pape, a 17-year-old Cruzeiro midfielder. The player is being monitored by Premier League clubs Arsenal and Newcastle, while Bayern Munich have also observed him closely, having sent a scout to do so. Other teams such as Manchester City, Chelsea, Bournemouth, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Monaco have also been linked with the teenager. Pape's contract runs until 2029 and includes an international release clause of €100 million, though Cruzeiro is seeking a sale price of around €40 million. No formal offers have been submitted to date, as most clubs are choosing to monitor him from a distance and wait until he turns 18. Cruzeiro is under no short-term pressure to sell and is expected to continue his development.
