FC Porto is searching for a left-back for the new season and is considering the 20-year-old Brazilian Tottenham player, Souza. Souza has also recently been linked with Benfica. FC Porto's scouting department has been monitoring the player since he started playing at Santos, where he was identified alongside other talents of his generation. The Portuguese club is currently evaluating several possibilities for the left side of the defense and is expected to increase its activity in the transfer market in August to assemble a squad for Farioli. Souza joined the London club from Santos last season and participated in four English league matches during the second half of the 2025/26 season. The defender, who has 12 caps for Brazil's U17 team, is under contract until 2031. His transfer to Tottenham in January 2026 was for a reported €15 million. An offer of €20 million from Benfica was reported in July 2026. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €12.00m.
