According to TYC, there have been recent developments concerning a potential transfer of 25-year-old Argentinian forward Alexis Cuello to River Plate. Alexis Cuello was offered to River recently after Boca ceased negotiations with San Lorenzo for the forward. Boca had made several attempts to sign the player during the current transfer window before withdrawing. The offer was reportedly made to Marcelo Gallardo's office. This occurred despite San Lorenzo's president, Sergio Constantino, having publicly stated that the player would remain with the club. Cuello joined San Lorenzo in January 2025, and his contract is valid until the end of 2027. In addition to the interest from Boca, Independiente has also been linked with the player. During negotiations in January 2026, San Lorenzo reportedly requested a net amount of €2.85 million for 60% of the player's rights, while Boca Juniors' final reported offer for that same stake was €2.85 million gross. His current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
