A suggestion has been made that the club should explore a deal for Utrecht's English winger Adrian Blake, following a performance against Celtic in the Europa League. The 20-year-old former Watford player scored a goal for the Dutch side and was rated by Sofascore as the best player in the match. Martin O’Neill reportedly wants a winger. Blake is a young, energetic player with European experience who has shown he can operate on both the left and right wings. Blake, who joined Utrecht in July 2024, is under contract until June 2027 and has been capped five times for England at U19 level. In the 2025/2026 Eredivisie season, he has made 17 appearances, contributing one goal and two assists. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €3.00m.
