Liverpool are one of several major clubs to have checked on Aston Villa's Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki as they assess their options for the goalkeeping position. It is understood that the long-term future of current No.1 Alisson Becker is a subject of discussion at Anfield, prompting the club to plan its next move for the goalkeeping department. Although Giorgi Mamardashvili is contracted to Liverpool, he is not currently seen as Alisson's long-term replacement, leading Liverpool to assess alternative options. Suzuki's outstanding performances for Villa have made him a person of interest for the club's longer-term plans. TEAMtalk has revealed that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the 24-year-old, and they are joined by other Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur. Suzuki joined Aston Villa in August 2026, and his contract is valid until June 2031. He has 31 caps for Japan and his market value is currently €30.00M, according to Transfermarkt.
