Žan Vipotnik: Swansea City Contract Extension
Slovenian international Žan Vipotnik said he feels settled at Swansea City and this was a reason he wanted to renew his deal. Vipotnik said that renewing his deal was what he wanted and that it is great, adding that he feels really good there and that perhaps the weather pleases him even though it is not the best. He stated that he extended his contract for another four years and a few months, and that everything suits him, from the coach and the team to the city itself. Vipotnik also said that everything is at the highest level and the decision to extend his stay was not difficult. Swansea City announced the extension last week. In their statement, Swansea City said the club is delighted to announce that striker Zan Vipotnik has signed a new contract. The club mentioned that the 24-year-old, who had celebrated his birthday earlier that week, has signed a deal through to the summer of 2030. The statement also said the new terms follow an outstanding campaign for the Slovenian forward and are a deserved reward after he scored 19 goals in all competitions to date during the 2025-26 season. It added that seventeen of those goals were in the Championship and that he remains the division’s top goalscorer heading into the final weeks of the season. The centre-forward, who has 22 caps and 3 goals for Slovenia, joined Swansea in August 2024 and has a current market value of €15.00m, according to Transfermarkt. His form has attracted interest from several clubs, including Rangers and West Ham United.
