Youssef El Kachati has reportedly been acquired as a new addition to Hamburger SV's attacking lineup. Austria Wien's sporting director, Jürgen Werner, disclosed in the podcast 'DAB | Der Audiobeweis' that Hamburger SV outbid them to secure El Kachati. Werner indicated that due to financial limitations, Austria Wien was unable to sign the player, as they needed to "continue baking smaller rolls." Besides Austria Wien, clubs such as FC Schalke 04, Hannover 96, and PEC Zwolle were also highly interested in El Kachati, whose contract with the Dutch second-division team Telstar is due to expire this summer. The 25-year-old Moroccan forward had a remarkable previous season, scoring 22 goals and providing six assists in 42 competitive matches.
