Former Sporting youth supremo Joao Couto has urged Youssef Chermiti to leave Rangers for Porto if a significant financial offer is made. Correio da Manha reports that Rangers are waiting on serious offers for the frontman to emerge. Rangers are said to be demanding £25 million to allow Youssef Chermiti to leave the club in this window, as Chermiti has three years remaining on his current deal.

Team Talk has reported that FC Porto has a strong interest in Youssef Chermiti, and that links have reportedly intensified in recent weeks. Porto are said to view Chermiti as a long-term successor in their forward line. However, Chermiti would likely play a secondary role to star forward Samu Aghehowa if Porto were to keep him.

According to a report on X from transfer journalist Rudy Galetti, Youssef Chermiti is being monitored by FC Porto, a club coached by former Ajax manager Francesco Farioli. Galetti states that FC Porto is monitoring Chermiti closely as they seek a replacement for Omorodion, who is injured until the autumn, and for Pepi and Osimhen, who could both leave this summer.
